I have an interesting idea that I thought I should share with you.
I recently needed to comit to memory a bunch of numbers, which included negative numbers. To do this I placed each peg on a bridge to represent that the number was negative.
Very useful for me. Maybe it will be to some of you to

Thanks. I looked around for a while to find a good mnmonic for negative numbers, but couldn't find one - So thought I'd come up with my own
